Is it allowed to take along a video camera while driving on the Nurburgring?

Please note that it is not allowed to take your own videos during Touristenfahrten. Don't ask why, it's really complicated but is the result of too many 'video nasties' making it on to TV. You do want the Nordschleife to still be here next year, right?

UPDATED: It is possible to rent a video camera from the official vendor in the Nordschleife car park. You must agree to a contract, sign it, pay €39 for the camera and €200 deposit. You then get a sealed Go Pro HD camera on a windscreen mount and a sticker for your car. The SD card is given to you at the end of the session.
